Luxembourg International Rowing Club will start its 2008 season on Saturday, 19 April. Following on from the successful series of beginners' sessions in 2003, the club will be offering a similar programme in 2008. The club will offer classes on Tuesday evenings at 18.30 starting on Tuesday, 27 May, until end of June. The classes will include water safety, basic watermanship, rowing and equipment terminology, boat handling, basic sculling and rowing technique, coxing, and information on the Moselle.

The fee for the complete course of sessions will be €40 and is deductible from the club's annual membership fee of € 85; for students € 20 and € 40 respectively. Participants should be at least 15 years of age and competent swimmers.

Le "Luxembourg International Rowing Club" va débuter sa saison 2008 au 19 avril. Suite à des sessions débutants dépuis 2003 très concluantes, le club va offrir un programme similaire cette année. Le club propose aux personnes intéressées par l'aviron, de découvrir ce sport en participant à la session débutants, qui durera jusqu’à fin juin, avec des séances d’instruction chaque mardi à 18.30 (1ere séance: mardi 27.5.08). Les séances comprennent des notions de base sur la sécurité sur l'eau, la terminologie de l'aviron (équipement et commandes), la manipulation des bateaux, une initiation à l'aviron de pointe et l'aviron de couple, technique de barreur, ainsi que des informations sur la Moselle.

La participation pour les séances débutants s'élève à 40 EUR, déductible de la cotisation annuelle pour les membres (85 EUR); respectivement 20 EUR et (40 EUR) pour les étudiants. Les participants doivent avoir au moins 15 ans et doivent être des nageurs confirmés.

Der Luxembourg International Rowing Club startet am 19. April in die Ruder-Saison 2008. Der bereits seit 2003 erfolgreich durchgeführte Anfängerlehrgang wird auch 2008 in ähnlicher Form angeboten. Der LIRC bietet von Dienstag, dem 27. Mai, bis Ende Juni dienstagabends von 18.30 an Ausbildungstermine an. Vermittelt werden: Grundregeln des sicheren Verhaltens auf dem Wasser und im Boot, Fachbegriffe des Ruderns und Bootskunde, Umgang mit den Booten, Grundausbildung im Skullen, Rudern und Steuern, Wissenswertes über die Mosel.

Die Gebühr von 40 € für den gesamten Lehrgang wird auf den Jahresbeitrag von 85 € angerechnet; beziehungsweise 20 € und 40 € für Studenten. Wer bei uns rudern möchte, muss mindestens 15 Jahre alt sein und sicher schwimmen können.
